Arthur Escandon

Arthur was born on June 12, 1943 to the union of Josie Carranza and Ralph Escandon, in the home of his Grandparents Juan and Petra Cabrera of Camarillo, California. He was taught the morals, of life with respect and discipline and early teaching of his Catholic Faith. He attended Pleasant Valley Elementary School and was raised in Camarillo all his life. He married and had 2 children a daughter Julie and a son Arthur Jr. After awhile he returned back to Camarillo where he lived as a Bachelor for the rest his life. He attended Ventura College and received his Vocational training Certification in " Principles of Landscape Maintenance" on June 14th, 1968 and received his High School Diploma from Oxnard High School on June 10th, 1969. He pushed and progressed his achievements always accomplishing the goals of his career. He also worked for Technicolor as a Custodian. Arthur was a very strong-minded person and said what he had to say, whether or not it pertained to him. He loved his children and his grandchildren very much. He was a loving and caring Uncle to all of his nieces and nephews loved the conversation with them and enjoyed family gatherings. He was Godfather to Evelyn Gomez Fuentes, Raul Roman, Michael Maldonado and Isiah Lopez he kept them close to his heart. Arthur was very adventurous, he tried everything and anything to make it FUN!!!!!!! He loved camping, looking for waterholes, traveling, Las Vegas was always a BIG HIT! He loved special occasions, especially when it was a Holiday. He enjoyed all music and dancing, playing card games with the guys. He never missed a beat, you could aways count on him to help out with whatever needed to be done. His dream was to see the Redwood trees of Oregon and sad to say he did not make the trip. Years back he was diagnosed with COPD ( Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) and through the years his health had been declining. Arthur was genuinely an all around Great Man!!!!!! There is an empty space amongst his family that will never be filled. He is survived by his daughter Julie and his son Arthur, Grandchilden; Baily, Cole and Arthur Jr., Mother Josie Carranza, sisters and brothers Celia Medina, Manuel Escandon, Alice Young, Esperanza (Hope) Serrano, Robert Maldonado, Anita Valdez, David Maldonado, Daniel Maldonado, Martha Maldonado, and Theresa Lopez. 5th generations of nieces and nephews who Loved him dearly. He is proceeded in death by his Father Ralph Escandon, Paternal grandparents Escandon, Maternal Grandparents Cabrera, Aunt Jenny Ordaz……... We will miss you "SON", Grandson, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Nephew, Godfather, Compadre…….
