Araceli "Ely" Magtira

Araceli “Ely” Magtira, 76, passed away peacefully at home in Oxnard surrounded by loved ones. Born in Batangas, Philippines, Ely spent her early adult years teaching grade school before immigrating to Oxnard with her family in the late 1970s. She eventually switched careers where she held various technical and administrative positions in the aerospace and engineering industries. 

She met and married her husband Lazaro (Larry) in the early 1980s, with whom she had two children, Aromalyn and Jonalyn. Quality time with family is what brought Ely the most joy. She lived a beautiful and full life devoted to her family, her faith, and her career. Her life and legacy live on with her husband and two daughters.
