Antonio Romero Flores

Antonio F. Romero, 97 of Oxnard passed away peacefully at home on Sunday February 26, 2023. He was born in Lagos de Moreno, Jal. (Mexico) on March 25, 1925 to Luis Romero & Felipa Flores. He married Eva V. Ramirez of San Francisco del Rincon, GTO. (Mexico) on January 25, 1962 in Leon, GTO (Mexico). Antonio Romero was raised in Rancho La Escondida located in Jalisco as a young man than Fresnillo, Zac. As newlywed he relocated with his wife to Monterey County for 8 yrs. Followed by Ventura County for 53 yrs. He also worked for Yamamoto Farms for 25 years and he was also a cancer survivor since the age of 75. Antonio loved listening to music and dancing. In addition, he very much enjoyed riding his single speed bicycle throughout Oxnard (e.g., La Plaza Park, Oxnard beach park, Port Hueneme beach). He enjoyed traveling to Guanajuato and Jalisco to visit family/friends. He is survived by his Sons Rosalio R. Romero (wife Donna) and Antonio R. Romero “aka” Junior (girlfriend Irene); Daughters Eva Rios (husband Jose) Alice Smith (husband Matthew); and 7 grandsons, 1 step-grandson, 3 granddaughters’, 2 step-granddaughters’; 13 great grandkids and lifelong family/friends. A visitation for Antonio will be held on Friday, March 24^th from 4-8pm with the Rosary beginning at 7pm located at the Perez Funeral Home Chapel in Camarillo, Ca. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 25^th at 9:30am at St. Anthony’s Church in Oxnard, Ca. Burial will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery in Oxnard, Ca. A Celebration of Life will follow the burial at Arroyo Verde Park in Ventura, Ca.
