Angelita "Angie" Garcia Perez

Angelita "Angie" Garcia Perez, 67, was surrounded by her loving family when she passed away on July 8, 2024, in Santa Paula, California.

Angie Perez was born on November 12, 1956, in Ventura, California to Jose "Joe" Merced Pineda Garcia and Refugio "Ruth" Juarez Garcia.

Angie retired after working for nearly 29 years for the County of Ventura in which she spent her last 20 years as a Judicial Assistant. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, godmother, and loyal friend. She was generous, loving, kind, sassy, and had a playful sense of humor.

Angie is preceded in her passing by her parents Joe and Ruth Garcia.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, Javier S. Perez. Together they raised three daughters, Patricia Perez (Jovan Zamora), Rosalie Zetino (Giovanni), Cassandra Cortez (Martin). She doted on her seven grandchildren who all referred to her as Grandma. She did not have the opportunity to meet granddaughter Scarlett until her heavenly passing. She is also survived by her close siblings Ruth Hernandez (Leo), Mercy Gomez (Felix), Concepsion Chavez (Arnoldo), Joaquin Garcia, Graciela Salazar (Gabriel), Consuelo Iglesias (Jorge), Josie Rico (Elias), and Mary Campos (Miguel), and many nieces, nephews, and godchildren, who lovingly referred to as sister, beautiful Aunt Angie, Tia Angie, and Nina Angie.

The viewing will take place on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 from 1:00-7:00 p.m. at Perez Family Funeral Home followed by the rosary at 5:30 p.m. The mass will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church located at 427 N. Oak Street in Santa Paula. Interment will follow Mass at Pierce Brothers Santa Paula Cemetery. Services entrusted to and arrangement under the direction of Perez Family Funeral Home (805-421-4537).
