Alfred Maurice Taylor

Alfred Maurice Taylor was born September 8th, 1928 in Chismville Arkansas to Bernie and Ester Taylor. He entered into rest on June 17,2011 in Ventura after a long illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 36 years Anita, and his brother Kenneth. Alfred was in the citrus industry and worked on the Greenhill Ranch as a foreman for Ventura Coastal Corporation until 1973. He went on to work as the ranch supervisor for Seacoast Associates on the Mesa Ranch until his retirement in 2000. Alfred enjoyed the game of baseball and was a pitcher as a young man. He also spent many Saturday nights at Saugus Speedway watching the action with his family. He is survived by his son Allan Taylor(Lilia) of Ventura, daughters Barbara Douds(Tim) of Ventura, and Sharon Rutherford(Jeff) of Muldrow Ok., 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; brothers Clinton Taylor and Tommy Taylor of Arkansas, sisters Pauline Castillo of Arkansas and Betty Hilton of Oklahoma.
