Alejandro C Gaona

My husband Alejandro Gaona was born on April 24, 1944 in Edinburg, Texas born to Guadalupe and Ricarda Gaona he was second of 5 sons he traveled with his family as a migrant worker across the United States. Alex enjoyed going fishing, playing baseball, cards, going to casinos, and going to fiestas. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan forever and loved Tejano and country music. He came to California in 1965 married and stayed in Ventura County. Alex worked at Limoniera and Cabrillo Village until he was hired by Brokaw Nursery and was trained to drive a semi truck, then he became a heavy equipment operator at Lucent Technologies. He is survived by his wife Maria of 51 years, his Children; Mariah Jae, Cindy Hernandez (Jess), Alex Gaona (Lisa), Corina Hernandez (Jesse), Jaime Gaona (Lucina). 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, brothers; Santana, Juan (Herminia) Gaona, sister-in-law Francisca Gaona. He leaves a legacy of being a kind gentleman, good husband, good grandpa and a good friend. Many people loved him and considered him a very courageous man. Alex loved the Lord with all his heart and soul, he went to be with the Lord August 18, 2016, surrounded by his family, two brothers, his Pastor Robert Martinez. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a grandson, and great grand babies.
