Aldo Dallape

d. April 7, 2011

Aldo Dallape Camarillo, CA Beloved father, grandfather and husband, Aldo Dallape, born April 23, 1923 in Santa Monica, CA passed away on April 9, 2011 in Camarillo, CA, at the age of 87. Aldo is survived by his daughter, Janice Dallape Cain of Henderson, NV; his daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Stan West of Atlanta, GA; his daughter-in-law Kim Fuerst Dallape of Camarillo, CA; and his grand-children, Jennifer Dallape and Michael Dallape residing in Santa Barbara, CA. Aldo was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Micheli Dallape and his beloved son, Daniel Aldo Dallape. Aldo was born on the same street where he lived most of his life, raising his family next door to where he himself was raised. His brief journeys away from Santa Monica included his service during WWII in the United States Marine Corps, and most recently having moved to Camarillo, CA to be closer to his son and his family. He was blessed to have lived more than 87 years independently, enjoying his sunny garden of flowers and fruit trees, his peaceful Koi pond, and his canine companion, Gina. His favorite pastimes included enjoying a good meal out with family and friends, laughing with his grandchildren, and talking about what Santa Monica was like in the 1920’s. A celebration of life for friends and family will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 4:00 PM at Perez Family Funeral Home in Camarillo. His remains, along with those of his beloved wife Mary, will be scattered at sea to be together forever. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Aldo’s honor to the American Diabetes Association at http://www.diabetes.org/donate/.
