“To Adelina, Our Guardian Angel”
Much-loved, Adelina Soledad Cadenas, completed her journey and reunited with the Lord and her mother on Feb. 27, 2012, at 7:30 p.m. She died peacefully with her family at her home. Adelina Cadenas was born in Peru, South America, on Sept. 8, 1939, to parents, Olinda Rodriguez and Alejandro Guibert. She was a resident of Ventura for almost 20 years.
In remembering our life with our mother, we realized that we were blessed to have her. When someone passes away, we all remember just the good side of people but our mother did not have a bad side, she was a guardian angel to everyone. She only had best wishes and prayers for her family and friends. Adelina was a blessing for everyone who had the privilege to meet her and enjoyed her love for people and life. She was a wonderful daughter who took care of her mother and her father-in-law until their last breath. She was a loving wife who was thinking about her husband’s welfare until her last moment. She loved all her brothers and sisters and taught us to love and respect them. She was a caring and loyal friend who listened and helped all in need. We were honored and blessed to have her as a mother.
We remember how hard she worked to provide for family. She taught us how important it is to get an education. Her great memory and intelligence was incredible and admirable. She was a believer of the Lord and always prayed for her family and friends. She helped and protected her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson even during her delicate and painful illness.
Eleven years ago our mother was given three months to live due to advanced Multiple Myeloma and renal failure. She did not give up and surprised everyone by continuing to fight until the Lord called her home. Our mother is an example of a warrior motivated by the love for family and the Lord. Our family is grateful to all her health professionals from Victoria Care Center, Community Memorial Health System, and the Hemostat Dialysis Center for the professional and loving care they gave her-it gave us eleven years more with our guardian angel. Adelina touched the lives of many and everyone who knew her, loved her. God sent us Adelina to make this world a better place.
Adelina is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ramon; her children, Victor and Rosa, Linda, Adelma and Carlos, Pilar and Clayton, Alfonzo and Rosario; grandchildren, Linda, Pedro, Vanessa, Nicole, Ricardo, Amy, Alejandro, Roberto, Abraham, Adriana, Ariel, Alicia, Rodrigo and Nicholas; great-grandson, Ricky; and 15 brothers and sisters.
